Planina, Colorado’s favorite Eastern European chorus, presents a one-hour concert of songs from Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Romania, and Russia. For their first performance in 18 months, the group has chosen songs ranging from simple village-style melodies to passion-filled choral arrangements to compelling dance tunes. Special guest: mandolin/guitar/tambura player Steve Mullins.

We’re excited to present TWO ways to enjoy the concert:

• Attend the live, in-person concert at the Avalon. Proof of vaccination required for admission. Donation requested ($5 suggested) from those who are able, to defray the cost of the hall. Although this is primarily a concert, not a dance party, the program includes several dance tunes and there will be room for dancing. No advance registration for the live show—just come down to the Avalon in time to get a good seat. Doors open at 6:30.

• Live-stream the concert on YouTube. This is a great option if you live too far away to join us in person or would just rather enjoy the show from home. Attendance is free, but advance registration is required for the livestream; please register at this link.
