Planina is
a group of singers and instrumentalists from the Denver-Boulder area specializing in traditional and contemporary folk music from Eastern Europe. We sing songs from Albania, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Georgia, Hungary, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Lithuania, Turkey and Ukraine, and Jewish and Rom (Gypsy) traditions from some of those areas. The word Planina means "mountain" in several south Slavic languages.

Planina is excited to be planning a group trip for July 2023 to study music in the country of Georgia, situated at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
